APGA Scholarship Essay Contest

An educational grant will be awarded to the female and male essay winners. Grade levels 9-12 are strongly encouraged to apply.

DEADLINE: Monday, December 1, 2025 at 11:59pm EST

PROMPT: In today’s fast-paced world, students often find themselves juggling multiple responsibilities—academic work, extracurricular activities, part-time jobs, family duties, and social commitments. Maintaining a healthy balance between school and personal life can be both challenging and rewarding.

In a well-organized 500-word essay, discuss what it means to balance school and life. Consider the following points as you plan your essay:

  • What challenges do students face when trying to balance academic responsibilities with personal and social life?

  • What strategies or habits can help students manage their time and stress effectively?

  • How can maintaining balance contribute to overall success, well-being, and personal growth?

  • You may include personal experiences, examples from others, or general observations to support your ideas.
