The mission of the APGA Tour is to bring greater diversity to the game of golf by developing African Americans and other minorities for careers in golf. This will be accomplished through professional tournaments, career development and mentoring sessions.


Tim O’Neal is the 2018 APGA Lexus Cup Player of the Year, an accolade that came by way of 4 top-5 finishes including a victory at the APGA Chicago event held at Harborside International Golf Center.   O’Neal followed up his APGA victory in Chicago with a runner up finish at TPC Craig Ranch where he shot 66-70.   O’Neal was able to secure Lexus Cup Player of the Year with a top-10 finish at the season ending APGA Tour Championship held at Chester Washington Golf Course in Los Angeles, CA.

O’Neal, 42, was the number 1 player during his time at Jackson State University where he graduated with a B.S. in Recreational Therapy.  The Savannah, GA native qualified for the 2015 U.S. Open Championship at Chambers Bay and is currently a member of the PGA Latinoamèricana Tour where he has collected 3 victories.
